2022 CDBG STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BIDS are invited upon the following item of work as follows: Maintenance & Protection of Traffic, Base Repair, Cartway Milling, Scratch, Leveling and Wearing Courses, and other associated roadway work. ALL bidders must receive contract documents from the office of the Engineer. BID SECURITY in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Performance, Payment & One (1) Year Maintenance Bonds of 100% are required by the successful bidder. The labor standards, wage determination decision, and anti-kickback regulations (29 CFR Part #3) issued by the Secretary of Labor are included in the contract documents of this project and govern all work under this Contract. Non discrimination in employment bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order # 11246, as amended and will be required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin. In addition to EEO, Executive Order #11246, Contractors must also establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and 0.6% goal for minority participation in his aggregate on-site construction work force for contracts in excess of $ 10,000.00 as per the notice of requirement for affirmative action as contained in the contract documents. In compliance with Executive Order 11625 & 12138 the successful bidder must utilize to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women owned businesses located in the municipality, county or general trade area, for this Contract. ATTENTION is called to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, 12 USC 179 LU and the Section 3 clause and regulations as set forth in 24 CFR, Part 135. THE TOWNSHIP OF JENKINS reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive informalities in the bidding, ALSO TO DELETE ITEMS in part or entirely to enable the project to be within financial budget. BIDS may be held by the TOWNSHIP OF JENKINS for a period not to exceed FORTY-FIVE (45) days from the date of the Opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, prior to awarding the Contract. In this period of time, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid.
