The City of Greensboro is pre-qualifying licensed General Contractors for the CHIP homeowner substantial rehabilitation program. This program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) via the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and will be subject to all federal program requirements and the local City of Greensboro CHIP policies and procedures statement. Interested general contractors must submit a CHIP Contractor Application form for consideration. Application forms will be accepted on an ongoing basis; however, only pre-qualified contractors will receive bid documents when they are ready for release. MBE / WBE businesses are encouraged to apply to be an approved contractor. A CHIP Contractor Application form and CHIP policies and procedures can be obtained at the Greensboro City Hall, 706-453-7967. The City of Greensboro will accept applications on an on-going basis; however, only contractors that have completed the pre-qualification process will receive bid documents as they become available. Bid packages are expected to be distributed to pre-qualified contractors on September 12.
