This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Whistler, British Columbia. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Reference Number 00003211864 Source ID SCRIBE This contract will require an initial inspection of every RMOW owned streetlight and the contractor will be required to compile detailed information about this municipal asset. The contractor will also be required to provide on-going maintenance of the RMOW streetlights for the next three years, and will provide inspections twice per year to supplement the inspections carried out by RMOW crews. The scope of work will include: Annual Spring and Fall Inspections 1. Inspections will be conducted by the maintenance contractor (the results of these inspections will be copied to the RMOW for information) in the months of May and September. Municipal crews will conduct inspections once a month from October to April (inclusive) to determine if lights are working or not for a total of 9 inspections per year. RMOW crews will flag non-working poles in the field. Information from these inspections will be sent to the contractor for their action. Annual Streetlight Maintenance & Repair 1. The contractor will repair streetlights within 5 days of a problem being reported to the contractor by the RMOW. 2. The contractor will repair streetlights within 24 hours of a problem being reported in the Village (streetlight numbers in the 4000 range) and Creekside areas (London Lane and Lake Placid Road east of Highway 99). Between December 17th and January 7th, problems in these areas must be repaired within 4 hours of notification. 3. Prior to any maintenance and repair work, the contractor will contact RMOW Electrical Services to make them aware of the work that will be done. 4. All work must be done to BC Electrical Code and Worker Safe BC standards. 5. The RMOW expects the contractor to maintain an inventory of parts sufficient to meet the above requirements. 6. During replacement/repairs to existing streetlights, a fuse will be added to the streetlight (if not already present) to prevent additional 'in-line' lights from going out in the future. 7. BC Hydro owned lights will not be maintained - only visually inspected during the twice yearly inspections to assess general condition and ensure lights are lit
