Renovation of a residential development in Salem, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The work to be done under this contract includes the removal of existing roofing materials and gutters including proper and legal disposal. Install new roofing and gutters. Roofing and gutter details are provided in Architects specifications and drawings that are provided. Install is to be in accordance with manufacturer and Architects specifications. The nine (9) properties are managed by the Salem Housing Authority (SHA). It shall be assumed the units will be occupied during the course of the contract. All entry must be coordinated at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance as SHA is required to give written notice of any on site work, especially where entry is required into the unit. The contractor will keep the job site in a safe manner to keep the tenant and any visitor safe from injury. It is the responsibility of the contractor to protect the tenants and their personal property from unnecessary dust, debris, theft or damage. Protect all landscaping from damage including placing protective covering on lawn areas to prevent ruts from forming and restore all landscaping to original condition or better, before final inspection. The contractor is responsible for all damage to the premises or its contents. Clean-up and disposal of all debris is required to be done at the end of each working day. Construction debris not picked up each day may be removed by SHA at the contractor's expense. The City accepts no responsibility for non-receipt and/or delays in receipt caused by transmission and reception problems, equipment failure, or any other similar cause. Each bid is instantly sealed and will only be visible to the City after the closing date and time The City of Salem ("City") reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to postpone the award of the contract for thirty (30) days. SOLICITATION FOR SUBCONTRACTS, INCLUDING PROCUREMENTS OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT: In all solicitations either by competitive bidding or negotiation made by the Contractor for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurements of materials or leases of equipment, each potential subcontractor or supplier shall be notified by the Contractor of the Contractors obligations under a contract awarded pursuant to this bid, Salem Revised Code Chapter 97, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other federal nondiscrimination laws. The City will provide ADA accommodations upon reasonable request to the Contracts and Procurement Manager.
