Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of October 31, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $170,084.50** The work to be performed under this contract includes the milling and resurfacing of Harvard Place from Central Boulevard to Glen Road (N.J.S.H. Route 5). Also included is spot curb and sidewalk replacement, the reconstruction of curb ramps, storm drain improvements, and other auxiliary items. Principal items of Work in the project include: . 5,820 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 820 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course . 65 L.F. 15" Reinforced Concrete Pipe, Class V . 75 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, Reinforced, 6" Thick . 220 L.F. 9" X 18" Concrete Vertical Curb . 125 L.F. 9" X 20" Concrete Vertical Curb The Work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including an ownership disclosure statement, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Borough and will be held as a guarantee that, in the event the Bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed, and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Borough a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, the successful bidder's bid security will be forfeited to the Borough as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. An original and two (2) copies of the bid documents must be submitted to and be received by the Borough prior to the time and place stated in the Legal Notice to Bidders. Any and all documents submitted to this Bid Request not received by the Borough by the time and date specified for receipt will be rejected. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the IMPROVEMENTS TO HARVARD PLACE. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. Pursuant to P.L. 2019, c.406, a contractor that is debarred from contracting with a federal government agency, along with any affiliates of the debarred contractor, is now prohibited from contracting for "public work" with any State or local government entity. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with applicable law.
