TMK: (2) 3-4-020: 039 & 040 Pursuant to Chapter 103-D, HRS, sealed offers for supplying, furnishing and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, all work as called for in the plans and specifications for the FORENSIC FACILITY AIR CONDITIONING IMPROVEMENTS, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, Job No. IFB P22-23/P-64 for the Maui Police Department, County of Maui. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors. The Contractor and his Subcontractor(s), if any shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage rate schedule as required under Chapter 104, H.R.S. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, or a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted. Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or county government contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with funds appropriated by the legislative body. The County of Maui, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability. The Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations of the Secretary of Labor implementing Executive Order 11246, as amended shall be complied with on this project. 1. Removal and Replacement of existing split system air conditioning units as shown on the project drawings at the Maui Police Department, Forensic Facility in Wailuku. B. The project plans and specifications do not cover each and every condition to be encountered. The contractor shall be responsible to field verify all dimensions prior to bidding. The contractor shall complete the entire project to the satisfaction of the Design Engineers and the Maui Police Department CIP Coordinator. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, and transportation necessary and incidental for the installation in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The contractor is required to provide work indicated on the drawings or expressly required in the specifications, and is manifestly necessary for the proper, full, and faithful performance of the work according to the project plans and specifications.
