Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Anchorage, Alaska. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

This is a Design-Build Project The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recognizes that the legacy Building Automation System (BAS) serving the Elmendorf AFB Hospital is failing and needs a replacement and software updates. The BASE work under this task order is to Repair by Replacement the current BAS with a system that meets current code requirements and is fully operational. The facility is currently using water wells to supply the condenser water for the building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system and is no longer reliable for future use. A 9.0 earthquake hit the region and caused uncertainty to the wells ability to provide long term use. The BASE work under this task order is for the contractor to provide a design and to install new cooling towers. The existing VAV Terminal Units serving the building HVAC system are in different stages of failure. The BASE work under this task order is for the contractor to remove the (570) VAV Terminal Unit’s and install new units that will meet current United Facility Criteria (UFCs) and building codes. The government is considering a single “turnkey,” performance-based project on the facility, that may include minor maintenance and system adjustments, along with small repairs encountered during equipment and component installation. The government is open and willing to consider any “outside-the-box” solutions to the aforementioned problems with proper justification. The project consists of 3 Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLINs). The intent of CLIN 1 is to implement the replacement of the building automation system and provide a fully compliant and operational system for the facility. The intent of CLN 2 is to install new cooling towers to replace the water well that serves the chiller condenser water. The intent of CLIN 3 is to remove and install new VAV Terminal Unit’s that will meet current UFC’s and codes. But not limited to, please review the scope of work for more info. Magnitude of Construction: $10M - $25M Prevailing Wages apply. Contract Duration = 365 days
