Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Concord, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Bidders are advised that the City of Concord has a goal of 10 percent (10%) minority enterprises, as mandated by G.S. 143-128.2(c) and G.S. 143-128.2(f). Each proposal shall identify the minority business participation it will use on the project. Successful bidder shall be required to comply with all requirements of statutes and ordnances, specifically including Article 2, Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes (Everify) and N.C.G.S. 147-86.55 et. Seq. (Iran Divestment Act of 1915). All inquiries, questions, and/or clarifications are to be submitted in writing by 2 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 and shall be addressed to: Ken Griffin, AIA Griffin Architecture, PA 5 Union St. South Concord, NC 28025 980-622-2409 ken@griffinarchitecture.com Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit of cash, cashier's check or a certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal; or, in lieu of the deposit of cash or certified check, a bid bond in the above amount in accordance with G.S. 143-129. In the event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the above deposit will be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages. A Performance Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) for the Contract Price and a Payment Bond will be required for one Hundred percent (100%) of the contract Price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the opening thereof. All Contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the State Laws governing their trades. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the contract to another other than the low bidder, should it be deemed to his best interests.
