The Norridge Park District invites the submission of sealed bids for: Norridge Park Pathway Paving Project. SCOPE OF WORK SPECIFICATIONS 1. Estimated Square Footage - 6,999.43 - to be confirmed by Bidder/Contractor for formal bid 2. Minimum 1.5" - 2" Overlay hot asphalt surfacing on all project defined areas 3. Saw cut flat surface butt joints 4. Binder and or stone for depressed areas as needed - CA6 no fines 5. Flat surface with maximum 1" per foot crown 6. Pavement graded for water runoff appropriately 7. All Pavement Rolled and compacted 8. Vibra-pac or flat iron areas around fitness block walls and as needed 9. Tac Coat primer over all areas prior to overlay Overlay of defined areas equaling approximately 6,999.43 square feet with appropriate prep work completed prior Pre-Bid meeting for contractors to measure out area for exact dimensions and any questions Completed fall of 2022 prior to November 1, 2022 Barricade off and keep work areas safe for Park Patrons - keep site clean and neat All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier's check or certified check payable to the Norridge Park District for ten percent (10 %) of the amount of the bid and drawn on a responsive and responsible bank doing business in the United States. All bids not accompanied by a bid security, when required, will be rejected. Prior to beginning Work, the successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond, and Labor and Materials/Payment Bond in the amount of 110% of the Contract Sum, using a form similar to the AIA-A312-2010 form, or its current equivalent, or one acceptable to Owner, cosigned by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois and with at least an "A" rating and a financial rating of at least "X" in the latest edition of the Best Insurance Guide. The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Cook County as provided by applicable law
