The City of Minneapolis is issuing this Call for Bids for prospective suppliers to provide all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals for the construction of the Pavement Profiling and Roto Milling, for the City of Minneapolis, all in accordance with the provided specifications, event line items and all documents requested herein. A contractor responding to this solicitation document swears that they are in compliance with the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3, and shall upon request submit to the city a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria. Questions due by: 9/20/2022 Operation of the Roto Mill The operator furnished with this equipment must be an experienced operator who has an excellent working knowledge of the machine provided, and particularly knowledgeable in the machine's safety features. Any operator who does not satisfactorily carry out the instruction of the Engineer or foremen in charge of the work will need to be promptly replaced by a satisfactory operator. Cutting tips, fuel, all maintenance as well as transportation to and from the job site(s) and from site to site shall be furnished by the bidder. The scope of work for the Roto Milling Operation is defined as Item 3B-1 Rental of Roto Millers, 4 hours to 2 days, continuous The City will give two (2) working days notice to the bidder to begin work. If the bidder cannot supply an asphalt pavement profiler by the designated day, the City reserves the right to use the next lowest qualified bidder. Rental of the roto milling machines in this bid will be by the hour. For Item 3B-1, the City will also pay a separate bid price for mobilization for the equipment, in and out. Payment for this activity shall be based on equipment time per hour. Payment will also be made for each mobilization. Item 3B-2 Rental of Roto Millers, 2 days continuous-PLUS The City will give two (2) working days notice to the bidder to begin work. If the bidder cannot supply an asphalt pavement profiler by the designated day, the City reserves the right to use the next lowest qualified bidder. Rental of the roto milling machine in this bid will be by the hour. For Item 3B-2, the City will also pay a separate bid price for mobilization for the equipment, in and out.
