Site work for a road / highway in Granisle, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The proposed contract requires sealed tenders for the following work: Approximately 1.4 km of new road construction and 1.5 km of road upgrade on the Old Fort South FSR (10469-13), located off of the Old Fort FSR at approximately 13 km, in the Houston Operating Area of the Nadina Forest District. Culverts and geotextile materials are located in the Morice River Storage Yard - west of Houston, travel to 7km on the Morice River FSR, then turn onto the East Peacock FSR and continue for approximately 300m. It will be the contractor's responsibility to transport the culverts/geotextiles to the work site and unload once at the site. Loading of the materials at the storage site will be provided by BCTS. We require 3 days notice to arrange loading. The Contractor must clear the right of way and haul all merchantable Crown timber to a scale site. The approximate Stumpage Rate is $40.15 /m3, subject to change. The timber volume is 1152 m3 This project will include the following works: 10469-13: Construct 1384 metres of new road (including clearing and removal of timber, stripping, subgrade construction and pullouts, culvert installation, grading and packing, and approximately 1502 meters of existing road upgrade. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a road use agreement with the road tenure holders of the Tanglechain FSR, and Old Fort FSR. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
