Bridge Timbers The receiving and acceptance of bids will be subject to the conditions contained in the Competitive Bid Law for the State of Alabama. Bids submitted which do not conform to the requirements hereof or wherein the specifications have been changed, will be subject to rejection on the grounds of not conforming to specifications as herein contained. The right is reserved, as the interest of Conecuh County may require, to reject any and all bids as provided under the terms and conditions of the Competitive Bid Law and to waive any informality in bids received. The following bid will comply with the State of Alabama Highway Specifications, section 833 and 834. These specifications require certified test reports to be submitted with all timber shipments. The timber will be from Southern Yellow Pine of SPIB Number 1 Dense Grade. The allowable fiber stress will be minimum 1,150lbs per square inch in tension parallel to grain. The timber will be prepared and treated according to Section 833 and will be grade stamped by a mill certified by American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), or stamped by an ALSC approved agency. Bid price will include delivery to any site within Conecuh County, Alabama. Delivery will be made no more than 90 days from the date of when the order is placed. Full truckload orders will be placed. Bid price will be good for (1) one year from the date this bid is awarded. In order that fair competition be maintained, bidder must bid according to the specifications listed, otherwise bid will be rejected.
