Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
As of October 17th, 2022, project has not been awarded yet. It is expected to be awarded sometime after October 26th. Each bid must conform to and be responsive to the contract documents and be submitted on a form furnished by the District. Bids can only be submitted by those license B contractors who have been pre-qualified with the District, as reflected on the District This project is subject to the terms of the Program Stabilization Agreement (PLA) Executed between the District and the San Mateo County Buildings and Trades Council. Copies of the PLA are available on the portal. The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. Prevailing Wage Determinations are on file at the District, available at CA Department of Industrial Relations portal, and are deemed included in the Bidding Documents. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.5. Each Bidder submitting a bid, including all Bidder's Subcontrac-tors, must be a Department of Industrial Relations Public Works registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. District will permit successful Bidder to substitute securities for retention monies withheld to ensure performance of Contract, as set forth in Document 00 43 45 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention), in accordance with California Public Contract Code, Section 22300. As a limitation on Bidder's privilege to substitute "or equal" items, District has found that certain items are designated as District standards and certain items are designated to match existing items in use on a particular public improvement either completed or in the course of completion or are available from one source. As to such items, District will not permit substitution. Such items are described in the Bidding Documents.
