The project sites are located as follows: C-13(875) - on 66th St. between Knabe Dr. and Weeping Water Rd.; C-13(899) on Alvo Rd. Road between 274 St. and 286 St.; and C-13(920) - on Mill Rd. between 96th St. and 108th St., all in Cass County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as Cass County 2022 CBC s: C-13(875), C-13(899), and C-13(920) and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-13(875) quad 12 x 12 x 68 concrete box culvert on a 15 degree skew (lhb); C-13(899) twin 10 x 8 x 42 concrete box culvert on a 15 degree skew (rhb); and C-13(920) triple 12 x 12 x 54 concrete box culvert on a 20 degree skew (lhb), and other related incidental work. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed seventy-five (75) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at the site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Cass County Board of Commissioners. Cass County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award.
