The scope of work to be performed under this contract consists of providing materials, labor, equipment and superintendent in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Contract documents. Contractor's responsibility includes; but is not limited to: construction sequencing in accordance with the Contract Documents, quality control of workmanship and materials, handling of all materials, handling and disposal of all waste, and compliance with regulatory standards governing the work under JWSC Project No. 2203 for the repair and painting of two (2) elevated storage tanks at the following locations: Glynn Place Mall Elevated Storage Tank (Tank Identification CB13EST) is approximately 500,000 gallons located at 30 Peppertree Crossing Avenue, Brunswick, Georgia 31525 with coordinates 31.217905, -81.484186. Oglethorpe Elevated Storage Tank (Tank Identification SS109EST) is approximately 500,000 gallons located on 35 Marsh's Edge Lane, Saint Simons Island, Georgia 31522, with coordinates 31.218456, -81.377813. The Bidder is encouraged to examine the location of the work and inform himself fully as to the conditions present at the site. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be made in writing to the Purchasing Director, Pam Crosby, via email: pcrosby@bgjws c.org on or before 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, September 23, 2022. Requests for clarification received after this date will not be considered. Responses to requests for clarification will be issued by addendum to all pre-bid attendees and will also be posted on the JWSC website. A bid guarantee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Acceptable forms of bid guarantees are: a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission. Performance and Payment bonds, each in an amount equal to hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required of the successful Bidder.
