Question Deadline 09/16/2022 12:00:00 PM PT The City of San Jose is soliciting responses from qualified vendors for Fire Life-Safety System Inspections, Testing, Maintenance, and Repair Services. RESPONSE TIME REQUIREMENTS: Due to the critical response times required for the services described in this solicitation (two hour maximum response time from time of notification to arrival on site, and verbal response within one hour), bidders must be located within 50 miles of San Jose, CA 95113 or must demonstrate how they will meet this response time requirement if they do not meet this location requirement. SALES TAX: Do not include sales tax in your solicitation response. The City will work with the selected vendor to establish the applicable tax for contract award. ESTIMATED QUANTITIES: Any quantities specified herein are the City's best estimate of the quantities that will be purchased; however, they are not guaranteed. Any variations from these estimated quantities shall not entitle the bidder to an adjustment in unit pricing or rates. BASIS OF AWARD is Price-Determinative: The award for this solicitation will be based on lowest responsive and responsible base bid that meets all specifications. The City may award by line item, lot, or overall lowest cost after application of local business and small business preferences, if applicable. LOCAL/SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PREFERENCE: The City's Local and Small Business Enterprise (LBE/SBE) Preference is applicable to this solicitation.
