West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for demolition of the existing restroom facility and construction of new modernized restroom facility consisting of but not necessarily limited to lighting, HVAC, CMU and gypsum walls, roofing and new fixtures and paint. Cutoff for Questions: Date: September 14, 2022 Time: 12:00 pm EST The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion if contract time stated below is in number of calendar days. Substantial Completion: Ninety (90) Calendar Days after issuance of Contract and PO Final Completion: Thirty (30) Calendar Days Thereafter LIQUIDATED DAMAGES - The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Two Hundred Dollars ($200) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and One Hundred Dollars ($100) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
