The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for a Natural Gas Pressure Improvement Project for the Lawrenceville Gas Department. The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following: This project will consist of installing approximately 8610 feet of 4 inch PE, at the locations listed below. These locations and quantities are subject to change but will be of similar scope. All totals are approximates and estimates in totals. This will be a line item bid with a not to exceed total. o Ozora Rd. from Camp Mitchell Rd. to Berry Rd. - Install approximately 1760 feet of 4 inch PE main. o Ozora Rd. from Burton Rd. to Ozora Farms Way-Install approximately 3850 feet of 4 inch PE main. o Ozora Rd. from Callie Still Rd. to Hwy 81-Install approximately 3000 feet of 4 inch PE main. o Tie-over or replace approximately 20 services. o Retire approximately 20 duel pressure services at main. o Retire approximately 2 regulator stations at main. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by the City of Lawrenceville and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents.
