Marion County has 32 locations designated by Building name, Park name and County signage location. Each name and location is provided within the Bid request. The work shall consist of the mowing, trimming, weed-eating and other ground maintenance including watering and seeding as needed. Bids are separated by section. Bidders cab bid 1,2,3 or ALL sections. The lawn and ground maintenance work will be performed by the Contractor, using the Contractors own equipment and materials, at each of the 32 locations. The locations and addresses are attached, along with aerial pictures and approximate size of lot. Mowing and trimming of grass areas and grounds maintenance. The contractor shall perform the work at each location such as weed-eating, trimming, clean-up, and mowing. Grassy areas inaccessible to mowing machinery shall be trimmed as needed. Mowing and trimming around all fixed objects, including but not limited to park equipment, benches, and signs, shall be done carefully so that damage does not occur. The County of Marion shall contact the contractor to ascertain when special activities are scheduled. Replacing soil, reseeding, and watering. Soil significantly disturbed by the mowing process shall be returned to its original placement and reseeded if grass is removed. The contractor will work with the County of Marion to coordinate the watering and seeding as needed. Branch and litter removal. The areas to be mowed shall be cleared of branches, limbs, and litter prior to each mowing cycle. Leaf and litter pick-up methods include but are not limited to air blowing, raking, vacuuming, mowing, and mulching.
