Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Burnsville, North Carolina. Design plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project.
As of June 12, 2024, an engineer has been selected. No information regarding a timeline for bidding/construction has been made available. Yancey County, planning for growth both residential, industrial and commercial, desires to procure engineering services including, without limitation, a preliminary engineering report, project scoping, engineering and design, bidding, and construction administration and supervision for a project which will rehabilitate and make capacity generating improvements to the wastewater treatment facility located on Pine Swamp Road in Burnsville, North Carolina, which provides wastewater service to the Town of Burnsville and all areas currently served by public wastewater infrastructure located outside and west of the corporate limits of the Town of Burnsville. Special consideration will be given to firms who have completed projects pertaining to comprehensive restoration, rehabilitation, and expansion/improvement of wastewater treatment facilities for similar units of local government in North Carolina.
