This public improvement generally consists of the construction and installation of Campsites, Shower House, Playground and Shelter at Buffalo Creek Park. 1. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: - The attached plans consist of the New Campsites, Shower House, Restroom, Shelter and Playground at Buffalo Creek Park. - The project is to be bid as a lump sum bid for the entirety of work as shown for each existing parking lot, including the parking striping, concrete sidewalk tie ins, and necessary signage. - All work to follow the attached plans and specifications and meet all applicable IDOT standards. Contractor responsible to submit any applicable shop drawings. Work associated with this project may commence any time after the contracts are signed and all permits secured. Actual construction may not start until the shop drawings are approved. Project schedule will be negotiated with the successful contractor at the time of signing the contract. All bidders are asked to submit an estimated time frame for construction and if good used materials are available at the time of the bid submittal. Bid Security - Each bid must be accompanied with a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. Performance Bond - The successful bidder shall be required to provide a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. An original of the bid proposal shall be enclosed in an envelope marked "Proposal" and bearing the title of the work and the name of the bidder. Bidder shall also provide, as part of the bid form, a list of all firms or individuals who will or may work on this project. A bidder that fails to include a list with the bid may be considered by Linn County a Non-Responsive Bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
