Conduct maintenance dredging, via hydraulic dredging, to remove accumulated sediment along 2,600 linear feet of the Paducah riverfront at River Mile 935 in the vicinity of the existing transient boat dock. Dredging is proposed to occur within the 8.25-acre area around and immediately downstream of the transient boat dock in the permitted total amount of 60,000 cubic yards (CY). The proposed dredging will remove material at depths above contour elevation 280 ft down to two feet above the existing natural riverbed elevation while dredging in deeper areas will remove sediment down to contour elevation 280 ft. All dredged material will be discharged 3,550 feet downstream along the left descending bank of the Ohio River at River Mile 935.8 within the permitted 4-acre dredge material placement area. All work is to occur below the Ordinary High-Water Elevation of 310 ft Ohio River Datum and all work is to remain approximately 392 feet away from the navigational channels of the Tennessee and Ohio River. Special provisions for the work for accommodating adjacent property owners and water intake structures are required for compliance with the acquired project permits. All work is to be performed in full accordance with the Specifications, Plans, and Permits for the project. This Project is funded by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance funds and will require the Contractor and all Sub-Contractors to strictly comply with Federal and State laws and regulations as required.
