Saving Project...

This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Columbus, Ohio. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The intent of these specifications is to provide clarification on vendor-supplied snow removal services to include adequate supplies, equipment, labor, and supervision to accomplish all required snow removal services. Contractor shall be deemed to have knowledge of the nature of the work and areas that require snow removal. Vendor shall furnish all necessary personnel, supplies and equipment to provide snow removal, plowing, salting with calcium chloride, etc. per the schedule listed below. For snowfalls of between 2 and 6 inches, all snow shall be plowed away from buildings and building entrances, pushed to the farthest end of the parking lot. No snow shall be piled up or stacked around landscaping. Contractor will relocate snow that has accumulated during the term, if such accumulation begins to impair access to the property entrance, fire lanes, interior roadways or designated parking stalls. All fire hydrants must be kept free from snow and easily accessible. Contractor shall not create drifts in front of dumpster areas, fire lanes, entrances, on sidewalks, or blocking walkways. Contractor will remove created drifts at no cost. Contractor shall return during the day to plow vacant parking spaces. If a majority of parking stalls are still occupied, the contractor will return the next day before 8am to plow as many parking spots as possible. The contractor will contact the Facility Manager in the event that property cannot be completely plowed within 4 hours after snow or ice has stopped falling. Vendor shall plow, shovel, apply calcium chloride on all parking lot and walkways displayed on the highlighted map. Dress code: Employees of the vendor must wear suitable clothing to perform services. Inspection: Area personnel may inspect the performance of work after each occurrence. Chemicals: Calcium chloride only. Exceptions may be approved by Korey Brown, District Manager. After all snow removal operations have been completed; the premises shall be left in an orderly condition at the end of each occurrence. Hard surfaces must be cleared of snow and ice. At no time shall the vendor bring any items to or on ODNR properties for disposal. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total. Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive. Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract. The awarded supplier will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote or Personal Services Agreement. Example attached. All bidders must sign and attach the Standard Affirmation & Disclosure Form to their bid in Ohio Buys. This may be signed electronically through Adobe or through a wet signature. If this is not attached, the winning bidder will be asked to sign before a contract can be routed for review.
