Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Athens, Alabama. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
**As of October 28, 2022 , no bids received. No definite date for the rebid.** ** 9/20/22- Per Bert Bradford, "the only change from the first bid request is adding a 1 inch layer of asphalt over the existing surface." The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the conversion of two (2) of the existing three (3) tennis courts at Big Spring Memorial Park into six (6) pickleball courts (with one (1) tennis court remaining). The work includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation which includes adding one inch of asphalt to existing surface, debris removal, crack repair, and surface leveling as to not allow standing water. The work also includes the placement and installation of all fencing, new pickleball net posts, and anchors. Coordination and supervision of the project, and all related work, is required. Additional requirements/information/specification items are indicated in the Request for Bids. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in its judgment, the best interests of the City will thereby be promoted.
