Renovation of a water / sewer project in Watsonville, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Work generally consists of replacing the existing sanitary sewer lift station with a new lift station. The major elements of the Work include: a new sanitary sewer pump station with wet well, valve vault, two 3 HP pumps, controls and associated piping; 35 LF of 4-inch PVC force main, 35 LF of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer and one new sanitary sewer manhole; new emergency generator; rehabilitate 355-LF of existing 6-inch sewer main by relining with cured-in-place pipe. Additive bid alternate item: Provide 820-LF of 2-inch conduit in Miles Lane from the pump station to the north side of Freedom Blvd. Liquidated Damages: $1,000.00 Per Calendar Day Bid Bond Percentage: 10% Project Duration:230 Work Days The Contractor shall only obtain water through a metered hydrant. Water for the work may be purchased from the City Water Division at the standard rate for water used. A meter may be obtained from the Water Division with a $700.00 refundable deposit, and a $116 setting fee which is not refundable. The hydrant meter will be installed by City personnel. The Contractor shall be charged for repair or replacement of a damaged or lost meter. The Contractor shall be entitled to only one fire hydrant meter location installation without additional charge.
