Site work for a water / sewer project in Covington, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of October 4, 2022. The project is expected to be awarded on October 17, 2022. The City of Covington reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The projected work includes replacing approximately 110 linear feet of lead joint cast iron pipe and PVC pipe with Protecto 401 Coated Carbon Steel Pipe or approved equivalent. Existing piers will need to be demolished and replaced with three new piers on concrete footing and hold down straps. The nearby ditch will need to be filled with riprap for stabilization. A nearby inlet structure will need a grate covering. The contractor will also be responsible for traffic control, erosion control and proper disposal of any environmentally sensitive waste materials as well as any fees associated for water usage for the City of Covington.
