Owner will receive sealed proposals for the Work generally described as follows: 2023 Downtown Landscape Maintenance Owner reserves the right to make clarifications, corrections, or changes in this Request for Contract Proposals at any time prior to the time proposals are opened. All bidders or prospective bidders will be informed of said clarifications, corrections, or changes. If any prospective bidder has questions about this Request for Proposals, contact Tom Bueser at 847-391-5470 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. or via email at: tbueser@desplaines.org All contract proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or bid bond in form and from a surety satisfactory to Owner, in amount equal to at least 5 percent of the Total Contract Price named in the Schedule of Prices section of the Contract form. If this Contract is accepted, Bidder proposes and agrees that Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, on forms provided by, or otherwise acceptable to, Owner, from a surety company acceptable to Owner, each in the penal sum of the Contract Price, within 10 days after Owner's acceptance of this Contract If this Contract is accepted, Bidder proposes and agrees that Bidder shall commence work not later than April 1, 2023 (weather dependent), provided that Bidder shall have furnished Owner all bonds and all insurance certificates specified in the Contract/Proposal, and shall end on the December 15, 2023 (weather dependent) Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, reserves the right to reject the low price proposal, and reserves such other rights as are set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.
