Renovation of a municipal facility in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board requires Design-Build services to replace nine elevators (8 base bid) at the Statehouse as part of this project. Elevators are over 25 years old and are beyond their useful life. Elevator replacement will include upgrading elevator shafts and elevator machine rooms as appropriate to comply with current building and elevator codes. Four alternates are listed in the Criteria Document: 1. Renovate elevator #4, 2. Monitor garage elevators #13, #14, #15, #16, 3. Elevators #9 and #10 - provide gearless traction machine, 4. Elevator 11 - Retain hydraulic configuration. All aspects of the project and related issues will be implemented and operated consistent with the Contracting Authority/ Owner's policies and procedures. The Program of Requirements ("POR") has been developed for this project by the Criteria Architect/Engineer ("Criteria A/E"), Roger D. Fields and Associates, Inc. The POR will be provided to D-B teams selected to submit detailed "Request for Proposals" following evaluation of the submitted Request for Qualifications received.
