Renovation of a library in Lake Forest, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
This project includes replacement of dome roof assembly with new tin-zinc-alloy coated copper batten seam roofing, repointing of brick masonry, and repair of existing skylight and plaster ceiling. The Lake Forest Library anticipates that construction will commence in spring 2023. The Architect/Engineer for the Lake Forest Library Dome Replacement is Kenneth Itle, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., 330 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook, IL 60062. He can be contacted at (847) 272-7400 or by email at kitle@wje.com regarding the project. Each bidder shall provide Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Base Bid Total amount, in form of surety bond or cashier's check, payable to Lake Forest Library, delivered to Lake Forest Library within three (3) days of bid submission. The Lake Forest Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids, accept the bid, or any item of any bid, deemed to be the most favorable to the Library. The selected bidder will be notified within fourteen (14) days of bid opening. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Library for 100 percent of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates for Lake County Illinois on the project as established by the Illinois Department of Labor.
