Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Statesville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade fire / police facility.

Project consists of the construction of a 2 story fire station. As of October 5, 2022, a construction manager and architect have been selected. A firm construction timeline has not been determined. Contractors are invited to pre-qualify for the following formal trade packages: Masonry, Steel, Millwork, Waterproofing and Sealants, Doors and Hardware, Overhead Doors, Drywall, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. Informal Bid Packages: Work that will not be part of the formal bid process and will not require submitting a prequalification statement (but not limited to): Final Cleaning, Concrete Rebar, Wood Framing, FRP, Glass, Acoustical Ceilings, Tile, Flooring, Painting, Floor Coatings, Specialties, Signage, Lockers, Awnings, Window Treatments, Fire Suppression, and Landscaping. These packages are a description of the work and not the final list of trade packages; the CM reserves the right to add or delete trade packages. All pre-qualified bidders are required to seek MWBE participation. The minimum goal for this project is 10% participation. Firms are encouraged to consider all possibilities for participation. This project will require prevailing wages, per the Davis-Bacon Act. Bidders must be properly licensed under all state laws, regulations, and ordinances governing the respective trades and work to be performed. The General Statutes of the State of North Carolina applicable to license requirements, submission of bids, and award of public contracts shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work. Further information may be required in addition to this pre-qualification statement based on your response. These items may include additional financial statements, proof of applicable licenses, certification status, safety program/policy, drug and alcohol program/policy, additional project experience, and or certificates of insurance. Completing this statement does not guarantee prequalification. The CM and Owner reserve the right to reject any or all prequalifications.
