SCOPE: The primary purpose of this Request for Proposal is to establish a competitive contract for the refinishing and/or resurfacing of various gym floors and stage floors at locations owned by Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) on an "as needed" basis. All bidders supplying prices shall be established vendors whose primary business includes wood and synthetic gym floor refinishing. Work under this contract will be initiated by the Plano ISD Facility Services Department; therefore, all work must be approved by Facility Services. Principals or other administrators do not have the authority to request or approve any work or overtime. ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $225,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually. TERM: This proposal will be firm for two (2) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for three (3) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree.
