Renovation of a water / sewer project in Sumner, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee (certified or cashier's check or approved bond) payable to the City of Sumner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish the satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sumner. The City of Sumner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served. The City of Sumner in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The Successful Bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part by SRF appropriations in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, and determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. registration and downloading digital project information. Full Class 1A containment of the reservoir will be required for the base bid work. Two additive alternative bids will consist of the following. Schedule A - Reservoir Interior Blast and Recoat The Schedule A work shall consist of blast removal of existing interior reservoir coatings and recoating reservoir interior. Schedule B - Reservoir Roof and Rafter Full Seal Welding The Schedule B work will consist of seal welding the reservoir rafters to the reservoir roof. The Sumner Springs Reservoir is a 1.0 Million Gallon (MG) ellipsoidal welded steel AWWA D100 reservoir 86 feet in diameter and 34 feet in overall height. The contractor will have 90 working days to complete the work in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The project will be awarded to the contractor based upon the total amount of the Base Bid, Schedule A, and Schedule B bids. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is between $1,200,000 and $1,500,000 for all bid schedules.
