Renovation of a mixed-use development in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of an educational facility and municipal facility.
The scope of work for the project consists of provision of required materials and labour for the expansion of the existing dental office located on the main floor of the Student Union Building at the University of Victoria. Work includes exterior and interior improvements. The existing tenant can accommodate an initial 3-week shutdown of the dental office to provide unrestricted access to the work site. The timing of this shutdown can be coordinated for when the contractor deems this most advantageous to the project schedule. Following this shutdown period, the existing dental clinic must remain operational for the duration of construction. The dental clinic’s hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 8am - 4pm. Construction work will continue while the clinic is operational. Adequate measures (hoarding and dust control, etc.) will be undertaken by the contractor so that operations of the dental clinic are undisturbed, and any necessary shutdowns that interfere with operations will be coordinated with the dental clinic.
