Work for which proposals are invited consists of: Base Bid (35 ft. Wide): The base bid includes removal of Taxiway Foxtrot from the centerline of Taxiway Golf west to Runway 12. This section of the taxiway will be replaced with a 35-foot-wide taxiway (11 inches of concrete over 7 inches of lean concrete) along with striping, joint sealing, and other incidentals of work. Alternate No. 1 (50 ft. Wide): Alternate No. 1 includes an additional 15 feet of taxiway to make the full width of the replaced taxiway 50 feet wide. The alternate also includes the removal of most of the electrical components in the construction area and installation of conduits, foundations, and canisters for future light and sign fixtures. A temporary electrical connection will be made to bypass Phase I and allow the remainder of taxiway foxtrot to be lit. Proposals must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Work Bid Form furnished with the contract documents.
