The McDuffie County School District is soliciting Proposals for lawn/shrub maintenance for the campuses of Dearing Elementary School, Maxwell Elementary School, Thomson Elementary School, Norris Elementary School, Thomson-McDuffie Middle School - specifically including all grass immediately surrounding the school building and between the building and Whiteoak Road, but not including all grass on the sides and rear of the school building located beyond the drive and parking areas, Thomson High School, 511 Main Street (Old Norris Building), the Central office at 716 N. Lee, the outside of the Maintenance/Transportation Departments and the Big Dog parking lot. This Request for Proposal excludes lawn maintenance for specific fields - The Brickyard, THS Baseball, THS Softball, and THS Track; however, the RFP does include providing lawn maintenance for the areas surrounding the specific fields named above. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any formality in any bid, and to reject any and all proposals in the best interest of the School District. The Board of Education also reserves the right not to enter into any agreement or contract as a result of this RFP. The contract, if awarded, may be awarded to the most responsive and responsible vendor whose proposal is deemed as the most advantageous to the Board of Education. Proposals should be submitted for the total annual cost of providing lawn/shrub maintenance service for the above campuses to include: Grass cutting, edging along walks and curbs, weed eating as necessary, cleaning walk/parking areas with blowers, etc. to remove debris from cutting for a total of 31 visits per year for a 12 month contract, as follows: For the initial contract, there will be 18 cuts beginning on October 18, 2022.
