Deadline for Written Questions and Clarifications on RFP October 10th, 2022 4:00 PM Deadline for Response to Questions October 11th, 2022 5:00 PM Notice to Award to Contractor/Request Performance Bond October 31st, 2022 Issue Task Order and Notice to Proceed November 4th, 2022 Project Completion Date February 15th, 2023 The Town of Troy is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified North Carolina General Contractors interested in providing modifications and renovations to the Senior Center located at 200 Park Drive in Troy, NC. Funding for this project may be provided from Town capital funds, or in whole or part, by a Federal grant, or other grants such as the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The Town will determine whether the source of public funds and whether such will be used or not in conjunction with performing the proposed repairs to the Senior Center at Lowes Warner Park. Expenditure of funds associated with this project are subject to the provisions found in the Towns Procurement Policy and include the Uniform Guidance (UG) under 2-CFR Part 200 (with applicable provisions found in Subpart A though F. This RFP and associated Preliminary Plans provides complete information on the services being requested, the submittal requirements, and the project timeline. It is the intent of the Town to perform this procurement in a manner that results in selection of a contractor or firm that demonstrates experience with performing the scope of work identified, is qualified and licensed to provide the requested services, and is the lowest most responsible bidder. The Town of Troy reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. This RFP does not obligate the Town to pay any cost incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a response nor does it obligate the Town to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. The proposed Senior Center Renovation project is renovation project that is intended to provide several improvements to both interior and exterior components of an existing one-story frame-built structure provided with masonry exterior siding. The size of the building footprint is approximately 4300 square feet (SF). The building is physically located at 200 Park Drive in Troy, NC and was completed in 1986. The building presently functions as a multi-purpose flexible space for the Town and sits within the Lowe Memorial Park complex. The building is used for holding various educational, agricultural, festivals, sporting, administrative, and other Town events, and functions deemed appropriate by the Town. Description- Remove existing floor coverings throughout building; upgrade/improve and replace carpet floor coverings throughout building with floor covering indicated in the Preliminary Plans by Maurer Architectural Services; Renovate bathrooms to improve aesthetics and to attain ADA compliance; Paint interior and exterior walls of the building where specified; Add an exterior wood pergola structure to rear of building over paved patio; Addition of kitchen/Upgrades and walk-in commercial style refrigeration system; Modify primary entrance way to include a double door entry system; Perform interior modifications to include new one way windows and new door entrances. Provide any supporting design/engineering needed, if any, to enable renovations as requested
