Site work for a water / sewer project in Robersonville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of the following major items: o Abandon 14,025 LF of 2-in. water main. o Replace 8,650 LF of 2-in. water main with 6-in. PVC water main. o Replace 165 Existing 3/4-in. Water Service Connections. o Install 4 New Fire Hydrant Assemblies. o Replace 7 Existing Fire Hydrant Assemblies. o Miscellaneous Appurtenances and Asphalt Repair. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall be required to submit with their Bids affidavits of "Good Faith Efforts" in the recruitment of Minority Businesses. Any contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be funded in part by a loan or grant from the State of North Carolina. Neither the State or Federal Government nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting Contract. This procurement will be subject to State regulations. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order Numbers 11246 and 11375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders shall provide certification of prior work under Executive Order 11.426 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Bidders shall make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and woman business enterprises. The successful Bidders shall comply with 41 CFR 60-4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60-4, if applicable. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This contract will be funded in whole or in part using funds from Drinking Water State Revolving Funds. As such, the special provisions concerning the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements as noted in the Instruction to Bidders and Supplementary Conditions shall be required for this contract. The Work will be subject to the prevailing wage rates and to the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements established by the US Department of Labor. Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate. Small, minority and woman's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
