Deadline for Questions: Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 12:00PM This unit currently contains no smoke/carbon detectors wired in the bedrooms, code and HUD requires this. Contractor is to wire and install smoke/carbon detector in each bedroom. Restoration of the damaged dwelling unit located in the Turner Terrace community will occur in a series of steps. o Abatement of asbestos containing floor tile and mastic. Contractor responsible for the appropriate removal, disposal and debris clean-up. o Abatement of mold containing sheetrock. Contractor responsible for the appropriate removal, disposal and debris clean-up. o Removal of attic blown insulation (to be replaced) o Removal of existing cast iron tub that contains LEAD paint. Contractor responsible for the appropriate removal, disposal and debris clean-up. o Replacement of all in wall domestic water and waste piping. o Removal and Replacement of HVAC System including installation of new attic supply air distribution duct system. o Clean with pressure/chemical spay o Treat wood studs, trusses, exposed roof and exposed roof sheathing with a Mold Sealant o Caulking Requirements: caulking to be provided in the following locations: Exterior: 1. Joints at door frame and window frame, and other materials. Joints at wood trim. 2. Joints between new dissimilar materials. 3. Joints at new mechanical and electrical penetrations. Joints at recessed fixtures. 4. Other locations required. Interior 1. Joints at door and window frames and other materials 2. Other locations required o Replace Existing kitchen cabinets and counter tops (see HACL spec sheet for details) o Cleaning and waxing floors o Unfaced Batt Insulation shall be non-combustible conforming to ASTM E136 insulating blankets unfaced, flame spread 25, conforming ASTM C665, Type I. 1. R-13 shall be provided in 2 x 4 stud walls and partitions 2. R-30 shall be provided in the attic floor.
