Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Russia Township, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Please advise all bidders that they should reach out to the office of Rafter A. LTD, prior to the bid on September 22nd, to ensure that they have received all addendums. Furnishing of all labor, material and equipment for the New Russia Park Pavement Improvement Plan project located on the south side of Butternut Ridge Road in New Russia Township in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the office of Rafter A. LTD. The project consists of upgrading the existing aggregate roadway and parking areas to asphaltic concrete. Work consists of widening portions of the parking and main roadway to allow for a 24 ft. wide roadway with parking stalls throughout the park. Work includes the placement of 2.25 inches of intermediate course and 1.5 inches of surface course of asphaltic concrete over the entire roadway and parking areas. Additionally, on the east portion of the roadway (1182 LF), work will include excavating and replacing 3 inches of aggregate base with 3 inches of asphaltic concrete base. The excavated aggregate base from the east roadway will be reused as needed for crowning the western roadway for positive drainage. Shoulders (2 feet wide) will be added to the outside edge of the roadway throughout the park. Other minor items include the placement of wheel stops for the parking spaces and pavement striping throughout the park. All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening to be held immediately following the deadline at the New Russia Township Complex. All materials and equipment must meet the specifications of the Ohio Department of Transportation and work performed shall be under the supervision of Rafter A. LTD. All contractors involved with this project will, to an extent practicable use of Ohio products, materials, services and labor in implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders are hereby notified that funds to be expended for this project are being furnished by New Russia Township. Bidders must provide a list of equipment and comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lorain County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal shall contain the full name or names of persons and company submitting the proposal and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked"New Russia Park Pavement Improvement Plans".The New Russia Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of New Russia Township to do so.
