Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a pre-engineered storage facility in Sorrento, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a 535-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a 1,517-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

Based Bid Project Identification: The project scope of work consists of a partial renovation of the existing Ascension Parish School Board Bus Barn Office/Maintenance Facility located on Airline Highway in Sorrento. The original Bus Barn Facility, building footprint consist of an existing preengineered metal building structure that is a 213'-0" x 53'-0" (11,289 sq. ft.) building and consist of seven (7) thirty-foot (30'-0") bay areas. The Bus/Maintenance Office Space occupies approximately 2,010 sq. ft., the Storage/Loading Dock occupies approximately 1,662 sq. ft., and the Bus Maintenance Area occupies approximately 8,257 sq. ft. with an end wash-down bay, at the end of the building. The renovation of this existing facility requires the physical addition of approximately 535 sq. ft. new square footage for the New Bus Drivers Lounge, the renovation of the Existing Office space will add approximately 1,517 sq. ft. of New Office Space within the footprint of the existing building area. In addition, to the alterations being performed within the Business portion of the building, the Existing Storage/Loading Dock Area will be reduced by approximately 50 sq. ft., due to the reconfiguration of the interior office layout. While this building reconfiguration will require this area to expand to one (1) of the existing bus maintenance bays, which would reduce the bus maintenance are to three (3) of the four (4) bays, it is currently occupying. Know this, this project will require the contractor to enclose the rear wash-down bay area, so that the maintenance could maintain approximately the same building footprint. While this will require a minimal amount of demolition and the potential storage of some existing building materials, while this renovation is being performed. This renovation includes the demolition and renovation of the Existing LED lighting, HVAC Building Systems, Plumbing, Maintenance Utilities Systems, New Mechanical System Elevated Platform, New 2-Hr.
