The tank will be located on FDOT owned rest area property along the I-275 / US 19 N. Skyway. That tank will be filled with potable water by connecting a new 2-inch tank fill pipe to the existing 2.5-inch FDOT owned watermain. Work items include: mobilization, clearing and grubbing, maintenance of traffic, sediment barrier, staked turbidity barrier, excavation for structures, cast in place concrete, reinforcing steel, utility piping and fittings, valve assemblies and meter box, tank access hatch and aluminum railing, tank exterior and interior ladder, performance turf, mowing, fencing, and litter removal in Pinellas County. Contractors must submit with their bid Form 850-070-09 Experience in Landscaping or be Pre-Qualified in Landscaping. Prequalification per Rule 14-22 is not required. A Builder's License or General Contractor's License is required for this project. For buildings three (3) stories or less in height, a Builder's License or General Contractor's License is acceptable. Buildings more than 3 stories in height require a General Contractor's License. This building is less than 3 stories in height. A copy of the license must be received prior to Award. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00.
