The City of Negaunee is requesting bids for improvements to Teal Lake, including the supply of picnic tables, trash receptacles and life-saving station Picnic Tables: The eight (8) regular 6' picnic tables and one (1) rectangular ADA compliant 8' table with approved ADA seating at both ends. Tables shall be of Platisol Coated expanded metal material with umbrella holes, blue in color. Tables shall be from Premier PolySteel or an approved equal. 20 year warranty. Materials specifications include the following: Table Top and Seat: HR steel 3/4 " #9 standard expanded metal or 14 gauge perforated steel. Seat measures 10" across for Champion. Attached perimeter frame and supporting structure is made from HR steel. A 2" schedule 40 pipe is welded in the center of top. When coated will accept a 1.625" diameter umbrella pole (except 10' and single ped direct bury). Free Standing Legs: Completely sealed pipe that measures 1.90" OD (Polyped 2.375" OD pipe) prior to plastisol (PVC) coating. Leg diagonal brace is made of pipe that measures 1.05" OD prior to plastisol (PVC) coating. Receptacles: The four (4) trash receptacles shall be Plastisol coated expanded metal with 55 gallon capacity, square shaped, and an arch lid by Premier PolySteel or approved equal, blue in color. The dimensions of the 55-gallon receptacle are 29" x 29" square and 46" high including the arch lid. 20 year warranty. Material specifications include the following: Base is made of 10 gauge HR steel. Optional surface mounting plate included. Top is made of 16 gauge HR steel. Receptacle Arch Lid is made of 16 gauge HR steel. Side Bars are made of 11 gauge steel. Expanded Metal Sides for square receptacle and planter are made of 3/4 " #9 expanded metal. All above are coated with UV and fungus resistant plastisol to a thickness of 1/8". Flammability - Pass per FMVSS 302 UV stabilized - guaranteed to not show significant fading for 5 years per written warranty Process: Prior to plastisol coating, each part shall be chemically washed, dried, heated and coated in a heat activated primer and dried. After drying, each part shall be pre-heated in a convection oven to a temperature of no less than 400 degree F, dipped into liquid Plastisol (PVC) and cured in a convection oven at a temperature no less than 350 degree F. All parts shall have a coating thickness of .125"-.25" Live Saving Station: The life saving station shall be a Glasdon cabinet with 24" life ring and rope.
