Project Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (NAB), has been tasked to solicit for and award construction services for a railroad repair project entitled, Letterkenny Munitions Center (LEMC) Repair RR North, Chambersburg, Pa. The place of performance is in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Repair (by replacement) 3.4 miles of North Line rail network ammunition storage area from 80-lb. rail to 115-lb. rail. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price, contract procured in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding, via an Invitation for Bid (IFB). SCOPE: This project is to repair (by replacement) 3.4 miles of North Line rail network located in the Letterkenny Munitions Center's (LEMC) ammunition storage area from 80-lb. rail to 115-lb. rail. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Construction duration is approximately 12 months from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
