Site work for a residential development in Onamia, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development.
The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Community Development office will be accepting sealed bids for installing a chain link fence at 43362 Nekamigaag Drive, Onamia MN 56359. No required pre-bid site visit. General Notes: It is the Contractors responsibility to identify any and all discrepancies in the scope of work, not meeting Industry Standards or that which is inconsistent with the International Residential Code (IRC), and Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe 2016 MLB Project Specification Book. All electrical wiring, apparatus and equipment for electric light, heat and power, technology circuits or systems shall comply with the rules of the Department of Commerce or the Department of Labor and Industry, as applicable, and be installed in conformity with accepted standards of construction for safety to life and property. Contractor must reconnect all utilities, service panel or service feed. Also includes gas, propane. Include such equipment or materials identified in the pre-bid conference. Contractor will secure all permits and fees. Contractor is responsible for a thorough investigation of the scope of work. Contractor will repair any damage to the property or structure created by the scope of work. No work shall be performed until all required permits have been issued and copies in the possession of the project coordinator and /or mille lacs band building official. Work Scope Description: GALVANIZED CHAIN LINK FENCE: Contractor shall supply and install a residential grade, Galvanized Chain Link Fence for the side of the lot that borders the adjacent neighbors home. This new Fence length is 150 lineal ft. Contractor shall include 150 lineal ft of 6 foot high fence in their base bid. Fence height shall be 6' high over the 150 foot run. The 150 foot run is on one side of the driveway and runs east to west. There is approximately 50 feet of this 150 foot run that needs tree and brush clearing to make way for the installers and the fence and posts. The fence and materials will be Galvanized Chain Link. Posts will be galvanized and provided and installed with adequate spacing to support the galvanized, chain link fence. Include caps for all posts. Specify your plan on total number of posts and methods for stabilization. Fence will follow line as shown in attached aerial photos and survey information. There is a recent survey marked out to show proper placement from the property line. No large trees are planned for removal. A rough layout of the proposed fence has been provided for reference. Contractor shall include the cost of any digging, grubbing or other land alterations required to install fence. Provide and install privacy slats in vinyl material. Color availability will be discussed upon award and ordered accordingly. A. Section Includes: Chain link fence. There are no gates included. The posts are not required to be in concrete. The fence posts are to be driven and not in concrete. Additional Contractor Responsibilities: Contractor is responsible for following the proper, marked and surveyed line. Contractor is responsible for arranging with the homeowner as to the location of chipped and relocated brush etc... that is removed to place the new fence. Contractor shall perform such clearing and grubbing as may be necessary to construct the new fence for approximately 50 feet as the remainder is clear of debris and or brush. All organic materials will remain on the property. Contractor shall include 0.5% TERO tax fee in base bid, if bid exceeds $25,000.00. Submission of receipt for paid TERO fee is required with application for final payment. Contractor shall be responsible for all required permitting and inspections, including fence permit from the MLBO. (Toby Egan 320-630-2491). All work shall be completed by December 31, 2022. Specified Product Substitutions: All proposed product substitutions must be approved by the Project Coordinator 5 days prior to bid. Any approved substitutions, will be made available to all bidders. The Band reserves the right to reject any bid that it is unable to collect at the Onamia post office by the bid deadline date and time, provided that the Band has made diligent and reasonable efforts to collect the bid. The Band reserves this right even in the event that the bid has been postmarked before the deadline. Licensing: Firms must be licensed with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. A copy of this license (or the license application) must accompany each bid. Licensing process can take several weeks. If you are not currently licensed with the MLBO, please submit a copy of your license application along with your proposal.
