MINORITY AND FEMALE OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (MFBE) PARTICIPATION It is the intent of the City of Statesboro to encourage participation by minority and female owned business enterprises (MFBE) for all procurement processes. The construction phase of this project shall include a minimum 6% minority or female business enterprise participation of total construction cost. All submittals for this invitation to bid must include a statement acknowledging compliance with a 6% MFBE requirement at the time of sealed bid submittals. Upon submittal of sealed bids, pre-qualified contractors will be required to provide proof of MFBE certification (if the general/primary contractor is a certified MFBE) or provide a list of MFBE sub-contractors, identify percentage of participation by each subcontractor and proof of minority or female owned business certification for proof of compliance with this section requirement. The City of Statesboro reserves the right to reject any or all quotations and waive technicalities or informalities. The proposed project will include: * Construction of Open Shelter Maintenance Shop Extension (Dimensions: 24x60x16H). * Frame constructed with red iron beams. * Structure designed to conform to 130 MPH wind speed regulations. * Addition to match roof gauge and grade of existing Maintenance Shop. * Moving existing shop gutter and downspouts and attach to new extension.
