The School Board of Hardee County, Florida. is seeking bids for the removal of the fencing, asphalt surface, and build new the four court surface with fencing, resurface the single court, and install a drain on the east side of the single court at Oak Street Park, 310 N. 8th Ave Wauchula, Fl 33873. Unsealed and/or unsigned responses received by e-mail, fax transmission or other similar means are not acceptable. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. Official notice of final selection results will be by electronic posting on the Hardee County School Board Web Site. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3).F.S., shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120 F.S. The Hardee County School District (District) shall have the option of using the Districts purchasing card (from Bank of America) to make purchases, partial payments and/or draws under the contract or purchase order. The Districts purchasing card is similar to a credit card in that there will be a small fee which the contractor will be required to pay and the contractor will receive payment directly from the card issuer rather than the District. Any and all fees related to this type of payment are the responsibility of the contractor. In no case will the District allow increases in prices to offset credit card fees paid by the contractor or any other charges incurred by the contractor, unless specifically stated in the terms of the contract or purchase order. Payment through the District purchasing card is a method of payment, not a method of contract award. Procedural requirements for awards of contracts and orders must still be followed. Any work performed on school property while school is in session will require all workers on the job site to pass a security clearance for the Jessica Lunsford Act.
