Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sarasota, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 800-square-foot transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
FDOT FM No. 444678-1-94-01 BID-09-2022-GTC The project includes the reconstruction and expansion of the existing Ground Transportation Center (GTC). There are three major segments to the GTC. The east segment consists of a pick-up loop for taxis, shuttles and limos and an 800 square foot drivers building. The central segment includes a pick-up loop for Transportation Network Companies (Uber, Lyft, etc.) and adjacent parking area. The west segment includes a pick-up/ drop-off loop for transit. The major work elements of the project include construction of drivers building, associated sanitary and potable water utilities, asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, canopies, signing and marking, landscaping, lighting, communications, and drainage upgrades. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid made payable to the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.
