The City of Upper Arlington is seeking a qualified Vendor to design and furnish the City with new playground equipment and site furnishingsat Thompson Park. Services shall include design, equipment removal, supply of new equipment, installation, site furnishings, surfacing, and associated sitework. 1.3 Project Budget: $550,000 Construction Complete May 17, 2024 Questions: Upon release of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), all Respondent communications concerning these shall be submitted on the IonWave portal. All questions must be submitted by 3:00 P.M. EST. on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Failure to submit inquiries by the deadline may result in the inquiry not being answered. This contract will be subject to Ohio Prevailing Wage Laws, Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Contractor shall procure all permits and licenses, pay all charges, fees, and taxes, and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the Work. The City hereby reserves the right to reject or accept any bid in whole or in part and to accept any proposal which differs from the specifications provided so long as such proposals are substantially equivalent to such specifications and constitute the lowest and best Bid in the opinion of the City Project Site: Existing playground is approximately 8,000 square feet (Exhibit A). It is expected that the replacement playground will be similar in size and footprint, but not limited to existing, with a focus on universal accessibility and inclusive design.
