Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is seeking for information from firms who can implement a scalable Intelligent Transportation System solution and other cutting-edge technologies solutions as it relates to transit. The solution will support the management of the TARC's fleet, heavy equipment, fixed-route vehicle(s), and assist with staff positional/location awareness in the field. The solution shall be combined with leading-edge information and communication technologies used in transportation and traffic management systems to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of transportation networks, to reduce traffic congestion and to enhance drivers' experiences. It is TARC's understanding that the solution may require several components/firms to meet the project's objective. Firm's are invited to provided information as a solution in its entirety or per component(s). Any proposed solutions must have the ability to communicate with other systems via an API. TARC does not want to implement isolated systems or maintain non-standardized approaches to systems integrations.
