Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salem, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
As of October 24, 2022, this project was awarded to CMI Sound Systems, awarded amount is $24,541.13. The Salem School District is currently accepting bids to upgrade the school/auditorium sound system. For more information, contact Kim Gadaree at kgadaree@salem.cen.ct.gov. The Salem School District is located at 200 Hartford Road, Salem, CT. The Salem School gymnasium and auditorium serves as both a performance space for music and arts programming as well as a gym for sports and other activities. Sound system components and design shall satisfy both needs while providing for easy, user friendly switching between both formats. Discussion with end user will determine locations of some equipment as described below. A processor allowing for at least 8 inputs and 4 outputs shall be used. Processor will handle all input control, DSP, as well as preset switching. System shall be configured in a manner that protects speakers from overload. Processor will have at least 3 presets with regard to speaker output. Preset 1-Gym, Preset 2-Auditorium, Preset 3-All speakers. Processor will serve as a simple "hands off" system for general day-to-day use for music playback, paging integration, and microphone. Processor will have a user-friendly control interface installed in location TBD based on input from end users.
